From the thousands of emails we receive a year, a great portion of them ask the same question
“Who are the people that make up the Labrador Retriever Owner’s Community?”

For starters there are no “cut and paste” answers to this question because there are so many
wonderful people that love Labrador Retrievers as much as I do and share that passion by joining
in with this very unique network of owners, breeders and exhibitors.

However, there are several prerequisites that must be met before anyone is invited to participate at
any level offered by Chambray Labradors and this unique Owner's Community.

1.     They must love the breed and profess to do all that is right by the breed, including understanding what our slogan “for the Betterment of the Breed” entails.

2.     They must accept that once in the program, they will become ambassadors of the breed,
for from that point forward they will be in the spotlight everywhere they go with one of our
Labrador Retrievers.

3.     The purpose of having a great specimen of the breed is to pass it forward to the next
generation so that others in the future may also partake in the good fortunes created by
the program.

With these basic principles explained, those searching for a new member to add to their family
will have some type of general guideline to begin the process of understanding what the Labrador Retrievers Owner’s Community is all about.

information on the workings of such an extensive endeavor aids greatly in the dissemination of
valuable information to those searching for a Labrador Retriever puppy.

Chambray Labradors has now been active in breeding and raising Labrador since 1970. In that time,
we have also become professional dog trainers, now into our 25th year and account for over 15, 000
dogs that have been through the various functions and activities including the training classes that
are offered year round on Thursday nights and part of the year on Tuesday nights. In addition, we
offer one-on-one training sessions at our home throughout the week where we see more than
20 dogs per week privately.

Our In-Kennel Training also has seen hundreds of dogs that are left for extended periods of time
for training. We also have conducted scores of training and handling seminars for clubs and
organizations as fundraisers that has also accounted for hundreds of attendees with their dogs.
One of our largest such event was done for the South Florida Labrador Retriever Club back in the
year 2001 that drew nearly 50 dogs and owners and was responsible for contributing the money
for funding the first-ever SFLRC specialty.

The greatest perk that new buyers are enthralled with is the free training that comes with each
and every Labrador Retriever puppy or dog placed by Chambray Labradors. For those puppies
deemed as Show Quality, the training is free for the lifetime of the dog! Free training for the lifetime
of the dog is unheard of in the dog fancy as no other Labrador breeder in the country is even qualified
to make this offer. That is free Thursday night training class for the lifetime of the dog, PLUS free
private one-on-one training sessions by appointment at our home!
