****Gavi crosses the finish line to win her AKC champion's title, making it a state record 4 champions in 1 year!!!!!
The very fast paced race for the AKC champion's title has seen lead changes and new dogs lurch across the finish line since the original article below was written.
Joining Hanna and Kika in the Winners Circle of champions is "Jake" finishing with 2 wins in Ft Myers on May 26 and 27th.
Tugger also took a 5 point major in Biloxi and now just needs another major to attain his AKC champion's title.
2012 Horse Race Of Epic Proportions To The Finish Line
Two of our super stars have crossed the finish line and attained their AKC champion's title since the beginning of the year.
Dashing first across the mythical tape at the end of the stretch in January was Chambrays WinQuest Summer Breeze “Hanna”, taking a 4-point major at the very tough and highly competitive “Winter Circuit” shows in Brooksville Fl. This series of shows are the traditional venue where northern dogs are brought down by the truck load by the professional handlers from most of the top Labrador kennels in the country. Amongst all those top show dogs, Hanna was to rule supreme for the day to garner the remaining major-pointed win for her AKC champion's title.

Stretching across the finish line less than 2 month later would be Chambrays Celestial N Counter She would achieve her AKC champion’s title in record time by becoming Chambray’s youngest ever champion at the age of 14 months. "Kika" would take her 2nd major pointed win by going Winners Bitch and then the ultimate prize, Best Of Breed over top ranked champion specials at the 2nd weekend of shows in March at the Ft Lauderdale dog shows.
Since attaining her championship at 14 months of age, Kika wins an amazing BEST IN SHOW a month later, becoming Florida's 1st-ever female Labrador BIS winner and also the youngest Labrador BIS winner in Florida history.

Now these 2 new champions stand in the winners circle reserved for champions, the rest of the field in competition for their AKC champion’s title continue on with the horse race at hand. Actually Hanna and Kika as champions are now in a different race for their AKC Grand Champion's title

Jericho's next opportunity for a major pointed win will be the Biloxi
Mississippi shows at the end of May and June 1,2 and 3rd.
