Miss Zeta From Memphis TN.

Hi Sandy and everyone at Chambray!

I found out that all these other puppies were writing you letters, so “Miss V” said it would be a good idea for me to write too.

I turned 6 months old today, the day after Miss V turned 55 years old!  I’m having fun in Memphis with Miss V and Fast Eddie, and especially with Aunt Delta.

Aunt Delta didn’t really know what to think of me at first,  I think her name was Aunt Alpha then, but we get along great, and we even pack up together in the crate for a little while in the mornings when Miss V is getting ready for work.

I go to puppy class once a week at Miss Donna’s and everybody just goes on and on about me and how pretty I am.  My favorite part is romping around with the puppies before the class starts, especially with my buddy “Banjo” the Havanese (I grab him by his top knot.) Any dog silly enough to have a top knot deserves to be grabbed.

I also like to run through the agility tunnel!  One day Miss V took me out to see Fast Eddie at the “gun club” where he goes to shoot skeet.  Everybody was so impressed because the shotgun noise didn’t bother me and I acted just like I knew what I was doing there.  I don’t know what else they would expect from a good Chambray lab.  Miss V got real annoyed when those people at the “gun club” kept asking her if I was a British lab or an American lab.  She finally told them that I was not a British lab because Kate Middleton couldn’t stand the competition!

I’ll get Miss V to send you some pictures, especially of me sitting in Fast Eddie’s lap.

Ya’ll (they say that lots here in Memphis) have a Happy New Year and me and Miss V will send more letters.

Love,

Zeta

and

A message from Sandy:

This one brought a tear or two to my aging eyes! You see, Miss Zeta was the last litter that I was to have with Jennifer Shake (RIP, my good friend). In fact, Miss Zeta was Jen's pick of the litter puppy and she had kept for herself.

Less than a week later, I was to find out that Jen passed away the same afternoon that she was here at Chambray Acres dropping off 3 of Zeta's littermates. Zeta was also to come to live with me as did 10 of Jen's other Labs that lived in her home 100 miles away.

The Labrador Owners Community came to our aid and one by one they were given a new lease on life. 5 months later all those wonderful dogs now have forever homes to call their own, including Miss Zeta with Virginia Wilson of Memphis TN.

Thank you to all the wonderful people that came through when I needed you the most. Together we do make a difference!
