The 60 day wait for the puppies to be born is over and now we have a gorgeous litter before us. What's different about this litter is that we have actually waited 4 years for Connie puppies!!! She had been bred 5 times before to 4 different dogs and she never "took". Along comes Hogan and presto, we have 3 boys and 1 girl in a gorgeous litter. The rest of the odyssey for this litter will now be the same as all the other prospective litters for perpetuating the betterment of the breed. Now the task at hand is watching these awesome puppies grow with the ultimate goal of deciphering which puppies will be the ones that will perpetuate the breed with their outstanding qualities. Once that is
accomplished, then the real sleepless nights begin for me, as I decide
where each puppy will be placed! Although the waiting lists are long for
our puppies, in many cases there are Since we only breed
for show purposes and not to supply the puppy market, and since we
guarantee show quality it is imperative to be able to identify those
puppies that are indeed show potential

Here they are at 7 weeks old after posting the highest combined evaluation ever for a Chambray or Partner's litter!
Here they are at play inside the house while the cat (Johanna is in Dallas) is away!
In the last 12 years I have had the luxury of having bred and evaluated some world class litters, including Chancey's litter of 3 girls that produced all
I am ecstatic to announce that these four puppies have averaged higher marks than the 3 girls from the above mentioned litter when they were the same age!!!!! With the bitch puppy achieving the highest rating ever at 98.5.
The final 8-week evaluation for conformation & movement is completed and "Charm" scores an unbelievable 9.85, the highest rating ever, scoring higher in most aspects, only behind in rear angulations, that I personally prize high when it is much deeper as with Chancey's!
EDITORS NOTE: The
evaluations at 8 weeks serve as a baseline score to start out with.
There are numerous variables that will determine the final outcome of
every single dog as to whether it makes it as a show dog or not. The
final verdict is taken at 18 months of age. Just as a point of reference
Am/In Ch Chambrays Chisholm Chancey scored a final evaluation of 96.21
as a full grown adult and that mark stands today as the pinnacle of
success for all to rise to. More reference points at 8 weeks of age &
adults scores: Am/Int Ch Chambrays Twist Of Fate 94.17 to 93.68 Am/Int Ch Chambrays Mad About Madeline 93.80 to 92.52 Am/Int Ch Chambrays Out Of The Ruff (puppies' sire) 92.7 to 90.8
